Africa hot.
I just went out to check the mail.

I can't quit thinking about the quote from Biloxi Blues (1988) in which Eugene Morris Jerome (Matthew Broderick) complains about the heat:
"Man it's hot. It's like Africa hot. Tarzan couldn't take this kind of hot."

My sister and I used to joke about Africa hot when the Santa Ana winds would hit So California. This is hotter than that.

Hahaha! I was just about to post a blurb about the heat and your entry was the first on my flist.

You ain't kiddin' it is definitely Africa hot here in NC. 95 degrees, 42% humidity. Ugh. The AC can't keep up when it's this hot. It's currently 82 in the house.

Yup, NC was cooking today too. I remember how hot NC could get in the summer. Today it felt the same in NJ.

98 here in east TX. humidity about the same as yours. Making the heat index about 104.

Gee, looks like we send our weather over :) It's cooled down a lot here, what with all the refreshing rain and storms. Maybe a little too much even, I could stand a little bit more heat.

I would happily send you some of ours. It's mid-morning and the heat index reads 102.

It's supposed to cool over the next few days. I can't wait.

Is it Cambodia hot? (Africa hot + humidity, I'm guessing...you would know firsthand, yes?)

Yes, it is Cambodia hot. *grin* Too bad there aren't any incredible temples to see.
